In the case that you need to extend your visa while you are in Iran, this should be done 3 -4 days before first visa expiration date by referring to Iran Foreign Intelligence Office in big cities such as capitals of provinces.
In the case of officer's acceptance, the visa will be extended up to 30 days.
This official process may take one full working day.
The applicant's presence is obligatory.
Each day's penalty for the invalid visa is 450,000 Rial (45,000 Toman).

Intelligence Office work hours is from Saturdays to Wednesdays at 7:30 to 14:00 and Thursdays at 8:00 to 11:30 except national off days.
